Buffalo Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Physical Therapy Assistant you will play a vital role in assisting our physical therapists in providing exceptional patient care.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements treatment program as directed by Physical Therapist, which may include but is not limited to exercise demonstration, application of modalities, and manual therapy/training as determined by PT
- Performs clerical duties such as receiving and scheduling patients and answering phones
- Helps with clinic flow such as cleaning tables, tools, and equipment
- Maintains department and Group policies and procedures including those related to Covid-19, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control
- Participates in clinic educational programs and in-services
- Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Attends and participates in required meetings
- Participates in professional development and educational activities.
- Maintains patient confidentiality
- Uses EMR to document daily and progress notes in a timely manner
- Communicates routinely with evaluating therapist on patient progress towards goals
- Complies with BMG Corporate Compliance Policy and HIPAA regulations.
- Participates in worksite safety training programs
- Other tasks as assigned by Clinic Director
EDUCATION AND TRAINING: 2-year Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program. NYS license to practice as PTA. Previous experience in an outpatient care facility.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.85 - $35.70 per hour
Expected hours: 40.00 per week
