Posting Title: Building Materials Shipping and Receiving Service In-House Title: “Shipping & Receiving”
The Building Materials “Shipping and Receiving” Associate possesses excellent customer service skills. They will assist customers find their will call orders, ensure that prices and quantities are accurate, accept payment, issue receipts, and provide helpful info.
DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Operations Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Knowledge of the store layout, inventory, company policy, etc.
Locate products for customers.
Move product to back stock location.
Communicate low or out of stock materials to “purchasing” for replenishment.
Perform and or assist in cycle counts and physical inventory.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Ability to organize a daily workload by priority.
Attend safety meetings as needed.
Observes store areas for safety, potential theft and security risks.
Ensure that customer expectations are communicated to “operations/Management” as necessary.
PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Welcome Customers
Operate scanners, cash registers and other electronics
Unload trucks
Help customers load their product
Accept payments
Follow all store procedures regarding will calls and special orders
Dress accordingly for the current weather conditions
Must wear steel toed footwear
