SUMMARY:
Bud & Mary’s Production Associate I (Formulation) assists with all finished product manufacturing related activities including but not limited to preparation of bulk mixes, packaging/dispensing into final forms, potency and contaminant sampling and analysis, and raw material and finished product inventory and reconciliation. This position will use standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records to complete these tasks. The Production Associate I (Formulation) will be a part of the larger processing team and may also work with other teams at Bud & Mary’s Cannabis’s manufacturing operation, thus attention to detail, cleanliness, and a high degree of caution and safety are imperative in this role.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma required.
· Two (2) plus years of experience in a manufacturing/production, laboratory or food service environment preferred.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Adhere to SOPs and Work Instructions (WIs) for the formulation of active compounds from Cannabis spp in a large-scale medical cannabis manufacturing operation. Assist management in the development of SOPs for new formulations.
· Keep accurate written records and operational logs to ensure cannabis oil was formulated according to company specifications for safety and quality.
· Assist with ingredient weighing, bulk product mixing, finished product filling/dispensing and packaging/labeling.
· Setup workstations for upcoming production batches for speed and efficiency.
· Clean, sanitize, maintain, and troubleshoot all formulation equipment.
· Prepare and analyze cannabis oil and finished product samples under the guidance of management.
· Monitor daily inventory and notify members of management when supplies are getting low.
· Take pride in the facility and maintain a clean and organized workspace.

· Experience with computers (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) as well as the ability to learn other software programs as needed.

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
PHYSICAL EFFORT NEEDED:
· Must be able to stand on your feet for 8 hours a day.
· Must be able to execute the same task for up to 8 hours a day.
· Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.
· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Must be able to handle expensive company assets from various positions (i.e., standing, bending, kneeling).
· Must be able to read and write numbers and letters and count.
TYPICAL NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS:
· Zero (0).
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
· Requires the use of flammable, corrosive, and/or toxic chemicals, which can be harmful if not used properly.
· Exposure to Cannabis spp., dust, varying temperatures, humidity levels and light intensities, high decibel sounds and some solvents.
· Potential exposure to insects, pesticides, and plant growth regulators.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
· Safety shoes, safety glasses, dust and surgical masks, ear protection, hair/beard nets, various types of gloves, lab coat, chemical resistant sleeves.
TRAVEL:
· Some travel may be required for training purposes and for staying abreast of industry developments.
