Overview:
The Floating Associate Wealth Advisor is an exciting opportunity to partner with multiple advisors, teams, and offices on financial planning needs for their clients. This individual will be tasked with spending anywhere from a weeks to a few months on a team throughout the country, depending on team capacity needs. The individual will need to be a self-starter, organized, and actively participate in the financial planning process to address retirement, risk management, estate, and tax considerations. In addition, this individual will be responsible for managing the database of client information and requests, a resource to articulate our investment philosophy, and organizer of best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Eagerness to engage and immerse within different advisory team across the country
- Able to assist AWAs at Buckingham for training on internal systems
- Possible resource for the Learning & Development and Onboarding & Integrations department for training new associates and offices
- Develops a mastery of Buckingham’s evidence-based investment philosophy
- Identify advanced planning opportunities
- Standardize and follow Buckingham best practices for the client experience
- Create, edit, and present financial plans and reports through Money Guide Elite, Orion, and Holistiplan
- Ability to business develop in a team environment
- Creates and implements a personalized Investment Policy Statement and holistic investment strategy for each client
- Independently interact and communicate with clients as well as lead client meetings
- Lead a select number of client relationships
- Develop an understanding of the fundamentals of trading. Partner with the Portfolio Management team to approve & execute portfolios, trade recommendations, tax loss harvesting, etc.
- Determine asset allocation based on clients’ needs, willingness & ability to take risk
- Diligent recording of client communication and information within client relationship management platform
- Serves as the day-to-day contact for client needs and collaborates with team members to ensure the highest level of service
- Assist with client billing reviews and collaborate with the billing department to ensure fees are collected in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications
- Three-plus years of direct client-facing experience
- Strong interpersonal communication skills; team-orientated approach
- Knowledge of financial industry, financial products, and financial planning concepts
- Bachelor’s Degree, relevant financial planning degree preferred
- Clean U4
- CFP, CFA or CPA/ PFS designation obtained
- Series 65 within 120 days of employment
