Dietary Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team at Buckeye Forest at Fairfield. As a Dietary Manager, you will play a crucial role in the nutrition and well-being of the residents.

Qualifications:

• Must be Serve Safe Level II Certified
• Must be Dietary Manager Certified
• Must be organized in Food Inventory, Purchasing, Team Leading, Time Management and Dietary Specifics.
• Must have excellent communication skills (read and write in the English language)
• Must have Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations pertaining to meal preparation and service.
• Must have Skilled Nursing Dietary Management Experience

Responsibilities (determined by the facility needs and may include, but are not limited to the following):

• Directs and supervises all dietary functions and personnel.
• Food inventory, purchasing, production, and timely service of meals.
• Communicate effectively (read and write in the English language)
• Process new diet orders and any changes timely. Keep diet cards updated.
• Purchase food products from approved vendors only.
• Maintain cost records and work to meet budget guidelines.
• Hire, train, discipline, and communicate with dietary employees.
• Maintain documentation in disciplinaries and educations for Direct Reports
• Schedule work hours and assignments for proper staffing per shift and facility needs.
• Review and correct staff work performance.
• Review and correct Dietary Staff time and attendance.
• Develop cleaning schedules and other dietary tools.
• Must also function as Cook and dietary staff when necessary.
• Plan and assist with preparation and service of holiday and special meals and functions.
• Must be able to stand and walk intermittently throughout the day, reach, stoop, bend, lift, carry, manipulate various food products and dietary supplies and equipment.
• Must have the ability to work with chemicals/cleaning agents and able to lift and/or carry 50 to 75 pounds.
• Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized.

Pay: $49,000.00 - $57,000.00 per year
