POSITION TITLE: Community Engagement Manager

Primary Function: Lead Bublr Bikes community outreach and engagement programming,

including Access Pass and Savvy Cycling programs, coalition building, and reducing barriers to micromobility.

About Bublr Bikes:

Bublr Bikes is greater Milwaukee’s nonprofit bikeshare operator, with 120 stations located in Milwaukee, Wauwatosa and West Allis. Bublr’s mission is to deliver a sustainable, excellent bikeshare for all. Bublr Bikes is a major part of the region’s expanding public transportation network as a fun, sustainable, and healthy way to connect people to resources, commute for work, shop, and explore.

Position Responsibilities:

- Lead Bublr Bikes education & promotional events as scheduled.

- Build and evolve community outreach initiatives and programming.

- Identify and create relationships with service agencies to increase utilization of our Access Passes for Milwaukee residents who are also SNAP and/or WIC participants.

- Develop a volunteer outreach plan and recruit & coordinate volunteers.

- Maintain appropriate records and statistics as assigned on a timely basis.

- Assist with customer service tasks: responding to customers' questions, fulfilling Bublr

Passes, and updating reports.

- Apply for grants to fund community engagement programming.

- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

- Fluent in conversational Spanish.

- Fluent in conversational English.

- Enthusiasm for and commitment to Bublr Bike’s mission.

- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.

- An enthusiasm for serving customers and community partners.

- Experience with general office software tools.

- Valid driver’s license.

Position Working Conditions:

- Evening and weekend availability as scheduled.

- Work may include high volumes and/or tight deadlines.

- Normal office environment provided, including a computer system, copier, scanner, and

monthly cell phone bill stipend.

This position reports to the Executive Director.

This position is budgeted full-time for 32-40 hours/week through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant. The grant term ends 12/31/24.

Compensation range: $40,000 – 46,000/annually. 30 PTO days per year. Individual health insurance plan with 80% paid by Bublr, HSA with $30/month match, Dental and Vision available. MCTS Commuter Value Pass, Free Bublr Pass.
