Description:We are seeking a software engineer to help with the development of a application that controls a battery manage systems. This system is part of a renewable energy, green energy systems that is revolutionizing how companies can store and release energy gained from wind, water, and solar power systems. The goal of our partner is to create 100% renewable energy for the entire world!This application as 3 main functions:Protect against failure and safety functionsConnect the battery management systems to the end sourceTrack aging and performance of the batteryDay to Day:This is a system being created from scratch so the person need will be writing brand new code, sometimes with minimal requirements definedUsing model and simulation tools for testingAttend and participate in Scrum meetingsParticipate in customer demos and reviewsSkills:C , Linux, Containers, messaging, simulink, python, ZeroMQAdditional Skills & Qualifications:Required Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related2 Years of experience writing C software on a Linux OSExperience with software messaging (ideally with ZeroMQ)Experience writing containerized software (Docker or Kubernetes)Preferred Experience:Simulink (used for testing)Knowledge of modern DevOps ProcessesIndustrial Process Control Systems (MODBUS, CAN-BUS, etc)Experience writing simple UIs using bootstraps, HTML, and PythonExperience with Embedded SW or Electrical board bring upExperience with a RTOSsExperience Level:Intermediate LevelAbout ActalentActalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
