BSR REIT is Hiring an Apartment Community Manager Near Dallas, TX

Currently, we are seeking a Community Manager to work in the Dallas, TX metro area. The Community Manager will be responsible for the maintenance and profitability of an apartment community.

The Community Manager will be responsible for the following:

  • Providing information about the apartment and community to the prospective resident.
  • Scheduling visits to the apartment community.
  • Showing apartment homes and quickly closing new sales and leasing apartments.
  • Conducting regular property walks for troubleshooting and interaction with residents and employees.
  • Submitting accurate reports by designated deadlines.
  • Maintaining the profitability of the property, enhancing revenue growth and controlling expenses for the year
  • Reviewing and approving all new lease applications and qualifications
  • Preparing and maintaining time records and payroll information for the property employees
  • Processing A/P accurately and timely
  • Processing move-ins and outs
  • Maintaining records of all transactions and resident files
  • Collecting money for deposits, application fees, rent, etc.
  • Addressing rent collection with delinquent residents, which may involve lease termination and legal action if necessary
  • Creating and maintaining a budget
  • Maintaining positive resident relations
  • Answering phones, typing and filing

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required. BA or related degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years residential or commercial property management experience, including supervisory experience required
  • Sales/multi-family leasing experience
  • General working knowledge of computers and computer programs (MS Word, MS Excel)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Read and write English fluently
  • May require climbing stairs
