Bryn Mawr Medical Specialists Association is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Clerk Near Bryn Mawr, PA
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring timely payment collection. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable and possess excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Duties:
- Process and reconcile patient invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or disputes
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer inquiries or issues
- Maintain accurate records of patient payments
- Prepare journal entries related to accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in governmental accounting regulations (e.g., SOX compliance)
Qualifications:
- Experience in medical billing preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing processes is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of governmental accounting regulations (e.g., SOX compliance)
- Strong analytical skills for identifying discrepancies or trends in financial data
