We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Commercial Painter. This position provides great opportunities for growth and advancement. Pay is commensurate with skills and experience.
Description: The applicant will work as a Painter in a commercial setting. The Painter will be responsible for prepping surfaces, applying primers, dry fall, and finish coats to doors, walls, ceilings, exterior sidings, and trim. The Painter will also be responsible for staining and varnishing as well. Must be able to use a commercial paint sprayer, set up scaffolding and protect all fixtures prior to painting. Applicant must be able to follow paint specifications on drawings. Tasks will progress as the applicant gains experience with the company resulting in more independence. Must be self-motivated and able to work both independently and within a group. Additional experience with carpentry or remodeling work is a plus.
Required Skills:
- At least one year of commercial painting experience
- High school diploma/GED
- Valid driver's license
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
- A basic understanding of how to read blueprints
- Great communication skills and ability to work within a team environment
- Competence with hand tools associated with the craft
- Flexibility & willingness to work in multiple positions
