BRS is Hiring a Quality Control Technician Near El Paso, TX

Panhandle Power Solutions LLC is an Alaska Native-owned who services governmental and commercial clients with electrical, energy, general construction, and building envelope solutions. Our services include complete underground / overhead utility services; large scale lighting retrofits; emergency power / load shed systems; solar/PV systems; Battery Energy Storage Systems, insulated concrete forms; masonry; flatwork-foundations/SOG.
Panhandle Power Solutions is expanding its construction management staff and requires the addition of an experienced QC Technician This position is project specific and employment beyond the completion of said project will be determined upon performance throughout and future projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures and processes in accordance with federal regulations and contract requirements.
2. Oversee and manage quality control on specified projects,
3. Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with contract specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
4. Develop and maintain documentation related to quality control activities, including inspection reports, corrective action plans, and quality metrics.
5. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
6. Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas of concern.
7. Provide guidance and support to project teams on quality control best practices and procedures.
8. Interface with clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies on quality-related matters, including audits and inspections.
9. Ensure that all quality control activities are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
10. Stay informed about changes in federal regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to quality control.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, quality management, or a related field, is a plus. Advanced degree preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in quality control management, Site superintendent, and/or BESS experiences is preferable.
3. Strong knowledge of federal regulations and standards related to quality control, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar.
4. Experience managing quality control on large solar and/or BESS projects.
5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends and root causes of quality issues.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
7. Proficiency in quality management tools and software, such as statistical process control, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking systems.
8. Certification as a Quality Manager (e.g., Certified Quality Manager, Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence) is a plus.
9. Familiarity with federal contracting processes, including FAR and DFARS requirements, is preferred.
10. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
