Brown and Caldwell has an opening for a self-motivated Wastewater Engineer with 6 years of experience to work on projects related to water reuse, infrastructure and wastewater. Preferred work location is in the Boise area but will consider remote assignment for the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
In this role you will support master planning, modeling, design, and regulatory compliance projects related to: drinking water, water reuse, infrastructure and wastewater, and be able to take on PM & CSM role responsibility including:
* Execute project work involving water treatment, infrastructure, wastewater treatment and water reuse.
* Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related activities.
* Perform engineering work on a variety of environmental engineering and master planning projects.
* Perform calculations and prepare technical memoranda, reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents.
* Conduct field work as necessary for various projects.
* Communicate effectively and coordinate with project teams including other disciplines (drafters, designers, and other engineers).
* Successfully manage and deliver assignments on time and on budget.
* Adhere to Brown and Caldwell's QA/QC process.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Self-starter, results-oriented, and ability to work under deadlines.
* Bachelor's degree in Civil / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering or related engineering field required.
* Related coursework or internship experience required; minimum of 6 years of professional experience.
* Desire to work on projects related to water treatment, water reuse, infrastructure expansion, and wastewater treatment.
* Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Required.
* Good technical skills with the ability to articulate ideas and concepts.
* Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
* Ability to work both independently and on large, coordinated teams.
* Ability to successfully manage and deliver on multiple tasks with competing priorities.
* Ability and willingness to perform field work at various sites local and regional.
* Knowledge of standard software including MS Office, Outlook, MathCAD and Bluebeam REVU.
* Strong aptitude for researching and solving technical problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
* State of Idaho Professional Engineering (PE) license in Civil / Mechanical / Environmental Engineering or a related engineering field or the ability to obtain the Idaho PE within 1 year.
Salary Range: The anticipated starting pay range for this position is based on the employee's primary work location and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.
Location A: $70,000 - 95,000
Location B: $77,000 - 105,000
Location C: $84,000 - 114,000
