Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma/ GED
• Wastewater Certification (Not needed but will increase pay with certifications)
• Vocational classroom safety training, on the job training and/or field experience (preferred)

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Water Treatment Plant Operators are responsible for the safe and proper operation of the wastewater treatment plant.
• The position operates, monitors, maintains and trouble shoots the treatment facility.
• Responsible for adhering to existing safety policies and procedures of both the client and the client's customers.
• Hands-on operation of the wastewater plant equipment.
• Operate equipment according to procedures and safe practices.
• Perform routine maintenance on company equipment.
• Responsible for sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.
• Assists with the installation and inspections of waste lines and services.
• May assist with installations, maintenance, and repair of various systems within the plant and pump stations.
• Performs regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery.
• Responds to emergencies at the plant and pump stations
