Summary:
Perform day-to-day activities for Group Homes. Such performance must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the Group Homes, and as may be required by the Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises 20 plus employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraisingperformance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Administrative Functions:
Complete medical forms, reports, charting, accident/incident reports as necessary.
Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Group Home Director concerning the status and care of the residents.
Periodically review the department's policies and procedure manuals.
Participate in facility surveys.
Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
Prepare food production sheets.
On call by means of telephone.
Responsible for petty cash.
Committee Functions:
Attend and participate in various committee meetings as required.
Provide written and oral reports of residents.
Nursing Care Functions:
Ensure that rooms are ready for new admissions and greet newly admitted residents.
perform an assessment evaluation.
Prepare medications as directed by nurse/supervisor.
Report problem areas to Group Home Director
Comply with written procedures for administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
Ensure that residents who are unable to call for help are checked frequently.
Resident Rights:
Maintain confidentiality of all residents care information.
Ensure that all residents are treated fairly, and with kindness, dignity and respect.
Education and/or Experience:
One year certificate from college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Floridadriver license, HIV Course, CPR
A Confidentiality Agreement is required and must be signed upon commencement of service.
