MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide professional development and coaching for BT BOCES Instructional Programs, focused on the strategies outlined in the IP strategic plan
• Collaborate with members of the Professional Learning and Innovation Center and Instructional Programs in the design of professional development
• Provide professional development and coaching for BT BOCES instructional staff, including, but not limited to:
  • Providing feedback to teachers as part of an ongoing coaching cycle
  • Modeling effective instructional practices in classrooms 
  • Leading data discussions tied to current, relevant data to assist teachers in designing instruction to meet students’ needs 
  • Participating in team meetings with teachers and administrators regarding planning and evaluating professional development 
  • Supporting district administration in their implementation of systems that support all learners
• Facilitate targeted professional development on topics, including, but not limited to:
  • Social Emotional Learning 
  • Trauma-Informed Practices 
  • Effective instructional practices in classrooms, including the integration of technology into the classroom 
  • Classroom Management/ Responding to Challenging Behaviors
  • Restorative Practices
• Access current research and best practices to integrate into professional development experiences
