Brooklyn Psychotherapy is a flourishing group psychotherapy practice with a beautiful site located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. We are currently seeking both full and part-time clinicians to provide individual psychotherapy to adults, couples, adolescents, and/or children. We're primarily seeing patients via telehealth and candidates will have the option to continue via telehealth indefinitely, or to see clients in person at either of our locations if they prefer. Therapists create their own preferred schedule.
We enthusiastically encourage applicants from underrepresented backgrounds! We seek to create an inclusive atmosphere for clinicians and clients. We are looking for experienced, conscientious, intellectually curious, reflective, independent clinicians to join our practice. Full time clinicians see at least 20-25 sessions per week, and Part Time clinicians see at least 15 sessions per week. Clients can be seen 2x per week if appropriate. Experience with couples, families, and children is a plus. We are dedicated to providing quality therapeutic services to LGBTQIA , Poly/ENM, and BIPOC communities. Those using psychodynamic methods with openness to multiple modalities are appreciated.
Our clients are motivated, enthusiastic, and involved in their therapy. As one of the only private practices to be in-network with a wide variety of insurances; we have unlimited referrals waiting for you (we average 5 referrals per day - it takes about 2 weeks to build to a full caseload of 30 clients). There is limited paperwork or case management as our focus is on our clients. The ideal candidate has an LCSW/LMHC and at least 2 years of experience doing clinical work. Motivated LMSWs, MHC-LPs, and CAT-LPs will be considered if they have at least 1 year of post grad clinical experience. We provide individual clinical supervision towards your licensing, as well as group peer supervision. We also offer training opportunities for staff. LCSWs may be considered for supervisory positions. There’s room to grow!
For full-time employees we offer competitive pay rates, health insurance, credentialing, 401k, commuter benefits, 2-weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, paid family leave, paid bereavement, pay for no-show clients, long-term disability, and life insurance.
BP is a friendly, supportive, drama-free environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone leaving agency work but looking to continue interesting clinical work, or a newer clinician looking to experience private practice with an eye to the future, or a private practitioner who wants to leave all the legwork to us. Any therapist working full-time who stays with us at least 1 year, is welcome to take their patients if they leave to start their own practice. We'll even help you switch your credentials to your new location if you'd like. Our mission is to expand access to therapy through insurance! So, we encourage your growth and success and are proud of private clinicians who have come up through our practice!
Preference for psychodynamic modalities (AEDP, ISTDP, Narrative therapy, Attachment oriented therapists).
