Job Overview

The Deriva HR team is seeking a skilled professional who is passionate about building and leading talent for our company. This role will have authority over the strategy and execution of the Talent Acquisition function.

The Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for defining and evolving a progressive talent strategy and implementing processes to drive successful outcomes by attracting and developing qualified, diverse, and in-demand talent. The role will include a broad spectrum of talent topics, including diversity and strategic sourcing, university relations, and retention strategies. This position partners closely with HR and Deriva business leaders to drive adoption and alignment of talent priorities, initiatives, processes, and tools.

The ideal candidate will serve as both a strategic and hands on leader, who is a strong executor and is confident driving a companywide talent approach.

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with leaders across all departments to understand their functions specific needs.
  • By identifying essential core competencies and skill gaps, they build a pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain programs that align with the organization’s strategic goals and workforce plans.
  • Leads initiatives focusing on employee engagement, diversity, and organizational culture.
  • Provide oversite on recruiting for the business. Oversees team responsible for posting, sourcing, candidate screening, offer negotiation, and extending offer letters.
  • Identifies, designs, and develops frameworks that represent skills and leadership capabilities critical to long-term and short-term objectives
  • Work with business leaders and HR partners to address current and future workforce hiring needs; execute sourcing initiatives to build a proactive pipeline of high caliber, diverse, and well-qualified talent.
  • Ensure consistent, efficient, and cost-effective processes, procedures, and appropriate accountability.
  • Ensure data integrity is maintained within applicant tracking and other core systems to provide accurate and timely reporting including Talent Acquisition/Trend Scorecards, Compliance Reporting (EEOC, Affirmative Action Policy, etc.), and other management reporting.
  • Leads by example, provides direction, removes roadblocks, and ensures the Talent team is high functioning and creative.

Required/Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • In addition to required degree, seven (7) years minimum of related work experience.

Additional/Desired Qualifications

  • Masters degree
  • Exceptional skills and experience with project management, program design/management, and change management.
  • Effective consultative and influencing skills for complex problem solving​​​.
  • Keen attention to detail and extremely organized.
  • Leadership experience building and retaining successful teams.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and execute a vision and obtain buy-in.
  • Ability to adapt and change as business needs shift.
  • Strong change management skills.
  • Diversity sourcing and hiring strategy experience.
  • Manages multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience developing and implementing a strategic plan.
  • Knowledge of accepted human resource practices and all applicable federal and state laws governing employment and fair treatment of employees.
  • Experienced at analyzing and interpreting data to proactively adjust strategies and make informed decisions, including tracking/reporting metrics, goals, and milestones.
  • Demonstrated success creating highly effective recruiting, onboarding, and engagement programs.
  • Experience attracting early career talent (college internships, development programs, etc.), including onboarding, engagement, feedback loops that influence planning, and marketing to interns before, during, and after their program.
  • Working knowledge and ability to navigate within an automated HRIS system as well as variety software packages such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
