Brookfield Renewable is Hiring a Senior Business Analyst, Commercial & Industrial Near New York, NY
The Senior Business Analyst, Commercial & Industrial will support Brookfield Renewable US in delivering complex renewable energy transactions to clients and fostering client relationships. This position is based in Brookfield's New York City headquarters. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain research, analytics, marketing, and communication tools for the US energy markets in connection with client pitches
Prepare outreach and proposal materials for commercial opportunities
Support transaction analysis, risk analysis, transaction negotiation and reporting of complex commercial transactions throughout their life cycle
Work collaboratively with other functions to ensure transactions meet the organization's internal risk-return requirements and are compliant with all applicable policies/procedures/controls
Interact and support discussions with clients, Trading, Risk, Legal, Capital Markets, M&A, and other key organization functions
Qualifications
Strong, detail-oriented team player with deep business, analytical and presentation skills
Ability to make quick decisions in the context of varied levels of risk and ambiguity
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Well-organized, meticulous and able to synthesize and conceptualize complex ideas

A solid understanding of derivative structuring, retail & wholesale energy markets
Required Experience
3-5 years of experience working as an analyst in a similar environment
Bachelor`s or Master's degree in engineering, economics, business, finance, sustainability, or other relevant discipline
Demonstrated ability to successfully deliver results for multiple, concurrent complex tasks
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Knowledge of electric power generation and transmission systems
Knowledge of renewable energy contracting, financing, and modelling
Knowledge of ISO market rules and renewable procurement standards
