We areseeking a Manager - Risk and Compliance to support our growing asset portfolios in North America. The position will be located at TerraForm Power's head office in New York Cityand offers significant growth opportunities.This role requires an ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization; strong analytical and organizational skills; and the willingness to take the initiative within a demanding environment and ability to work independently. Excellent judgment and discretion are required to handle high volumes of confidential information. Working closely with the operations, legal, procurement and development teams, the Manager will be responsible for reliability compliance policies and procedures associated with TerraForm Power's generation and transmission assets in the US. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with existing standards and regulations as well as leading the preparation for new standards and regulations that will impact the business. While NERC compliance will be the primary responsibility for this role, coordination with existing SME's on ISO and FERC related matters will be critical as well. The Manager will also focus on and be responsible for review information and recommend risk solutions for our businesses. This will entail building relationships with the broker and insurance companies and providing strategic insights where there is an alignment of interest to build new insurance solutions for our business. The role will also include coordinating data to support the placement of group insurance policies across the organization. The Manager will work with the corporate Brookfield team to manage the creation of renewal submissions and manage a relevant data collection, analysis, and visualization projects to support the broader team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to identify risks and exposures relevant to Terraform Power's core operations as well as the appropriate counterparties to assume these risks in an efficient manner. Candidates should be resourceful and efficient, willing to work in a fast-paced environment, and be flexible and reliable with a positive 'can-do' disposition. Key Responsibilities
Compliance
Manage reliability compliance policies and procedures associated with TerraForm's generation and transmission assets in the U.S.
Lead compliance efforts with regional management team
Track and prepare for new and revised NERC Standards that impact the business
Maintain and implement annual Reliability Compliance schedule/calendar for both generation and transmission assets
Ensure that Compliance deadlines are met
Work with subject matter experts to organize and maintain reliability compliance evidences necessary for reporting and audit activities, and create plans for audit preparation and mitigation activities
Maintain procedure library for NERC Registered Entities as well as electronic document management for the Reliability Compliance Group
Provide training/guidance to regional operations staff as needed
Recommend changes and modifications to programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable reliability standards
Lead both internal and external compliance audits
Participate in regional reliability organization workshops and seminars
Coordinate with Commercial, Policy and Regulatory teams on activities that go across the functional areas and their related compliance and reporting requirements

Insurance
Insurance claims management and advocating for the business on complex matters
Review and respond to requests from internal and external stakeholders including analysis of data, policies, processes, and regulatory requirements
Conduct audit of existing insurance programs for assets
Review and analyze trends in risk exposures with regular frequency
Provide project support, including project coordination with subject matter experts and due diligence of capital projects
Assist in the placement of surety bonds, obtaining insurance reports and COI's
Organize and maintain accurate insurance records related to communications, renewals, loss surveys, invoicing, premium allocation, premium estimates etc.
Review and provide feedback on insurance provisions of third-party contracts/financing agreements
Support on various administrative tasks such a presentations, insurance summaries and administrative guidance for portfolio companies
Desired Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a reliability compliance management role is required.
Strong knowledge of NERC 693 and CIP Standards
Industry relevant certifications (CIP, CRM) preferred but not required
Strong attention to detail
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills (quantitative and qualitative)
Effective oral, written and communication skills
Proficient in preparing presentations
Excellent analytical, planning, project management, and organizational skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines, balancing multiple and competing priorities
Capable of working as a member of a team or independently when necessary; knows when to seek guidance or clarity
Competency with Microsoft Office business software, especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business Administration or equivalent experience is required. An Electrical Power Systems degree is preferred.
