Job Summary:
The Home Care Aide at Destiny Healthcare Services in Chicago, Illinois is a full-time, salary position in the healthcare/medical field. As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to patients in their homes. This role requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who is committed to improving the lives of others. The compensation for this position is $17.50 per hour and paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care services to patients in their homes, including but not limited to, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with medication reminders and administration, as directed by healthcare professionals
- Prepare and serve meals according to special dietary requirements and/or patient preferences
- Help with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and errands
- Monitor and document patient's vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals
- Ensure patient's safety and well-being at all times
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care provided
- Adhere to all healthcare and safety protocols
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare or home care setting preferred, but not required
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of and respect for patient confidentiality
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Must have a reliable means of transportation
