Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Production Team Lead will be responsible for Proper safe and efficient operation of pleating machines and the delivery of quality pleat-packs to the assembly line on time and the correct quantities. The Pleating Operator oversees the production of filter pleat-packs using the laminated media rolls- as well as ensuring production procedures run smoothly to maximize efficiency and keep overall production on schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Operate according to established Pleating Operator SOPs (Standard Operator Procedures)
• Start machinery and make sure all materials are readily available.
• Configure the machines (power on, calibration, number of pleats per filter, pleat height, cleaning, speed) to start a production cycle.
• Inspect raw materials with precision and measuring tools. Reject unacceptable quality in materials to be pleated and return to the lamination department for their analysis and improvement – maintain the customer / supplier relationship with the Lamination department.
• Test the operation of the machine periodically. Ask for Support & Maintenance guidance when checking.
• Perform production tasks, inspection, monitoring, and quality control.
• Identify which assembly area must be supplied and which pleating machine must be used and follow the daily production plan.
• Effectively monitor the pleating machine.
• Verify that the material to be used is available in the lamination area and if not, coordinate with the lamination area for its preparation to comply with the production plan (merv 10, 11, or 13 rolls) and also according to size: (16”, 18”, 20”, 22”, 24”, 25”, 30”).
• Carry out the production of the material in the assigned machine according to the instructions provided in the training.
• Any Pleatpacks that are not being used immediately is called WIP (Work in Progress) and must be clearly labeled, counted, and stored, and the information about the WIP must be relayed to the Production Plan by making note of it on the Production Packs where times are recorded.
• Keep the workspace safe and clean. Each shift must deliver the work area in optimal conditions of order and cleanliness.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

• Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require.
• Ability to lift a maximum of 50 pounds and remain on your feet during an 8-hour work shift.
• Working at high noise levels. (Must use hearing protection when working continuously with loud noises).
• Working around lubricants, solvents, batteries, cleaning fluids, paints.
• Ability to handle measurement tools (temperature gauges, air pressure gauges, speedometers, tape measure, etc.)
• Ability to read programs and manuals.

• High school diploma or GED required.
