Brook & Whittle LTD is Hiring an Accounting Manager Near Anaheim, CA

Description

 The Accounting Manager is a pivotal figure in the financial ecosystem of our organization, with oversight of multiple plant locations including Anaheim and Oregon. This role entails close collaboration with plant operations, the sales team, and various finance personnel. Ensuring a punctual month-end close, providing support to the site managers and working on continuous integration between sites, the Accounting Manager plays a vital role in upholding the financial well-being of the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely month-end close.
  • Oversee local financial teams, ensuring accuracy and efficacy in their transactional duties, including billing, A/R, A/P, G/L, and inventory accounting.
  • Foster a close-knit relationship with plant operations to align financial and operational goals.
  • Provide proactive consultation, interpretation and education of complex financial and operational matters to various departmental leaders used to drive business decisions.
  • Direct responsibility for the preparation and review of budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform variance analysis to track financial performance against standards.
  • Champion integration and process control among various sites, promoting standardized practices and streamlined operations.

Pay Range: $100,000 - $110,000

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Demonstrate excellence in analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven capacity to lead and inspire a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal prowess.
  • A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach to work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, adeptly handling shifting priorities.
  • Solid understanding of cost accounting principles.
  • Skill in managing multiple tasks simultaneously, all the while adhering to strict deadlines.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; CPA a plus
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, preferably in roles such as plant controller or cost accounting

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

Must be eligible to work in the United States without restriction.
