Pay Details:
The starting hourly rate range for this position is $25.00 to $31.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate offered will take internal value, peer equity, job-related factors, and other organizational considerations into account.

Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing Accounting and Finance duties in support of the OCVIBE development team. The position will work collaboratively with outside consultants, general contractors, and our shared services team. The Accounting Specialist will provide accurate and timely information to the OCVIBE development team and play an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Review and audit all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before entering data
  • Review construction payment applications for accuracy and approval before entering data
  • Review and maintain construction lien waivers schedule
  • Research department questions and vendor statements and follow up with any discrepancies
  • Process weekly payments and set approvals to ensure timely delivery of payments
  • Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheet, and files
  • Prepare loan draw packages for submittal to funding entities
  • Prepare, reconcile, print, and mail annual 1099s
  • Perform other special projects and ad hoc reporting as needed
Education, Experience, &/or Licenses
  • High School Diploma or equivalent / Associates Degree, preferred
  • 3 Years of experience in accounting, preferably in construction or development environment
  • Yardi Construction software experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Self-motivated, able to learn on their own, and work independently towards a deadline
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in fast paced environment
