The Physical Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient areas of BronxCare managing patients with physical disability due to illness or injury.
Responsibilities:The Physical Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care in inpatient and/or outpatient areas of BronxCare managing patients with physical disability due to illness or injury. Under direct supervision of the Physical Therapist, the Physical Therapy Assistant implements individualized treatment plans, administers physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve patients' mobility, and provides education to patient, family, and caregivers.
Qualifications:Licensed by NYS as a Physical Therapy Assistant
0-2 years of experience in direct care as a physical therapy assistant in
the last 10 years
Education Requirements:
Associate Degree Required
Completion of a two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program that
meets NYS requirements
