RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Reviewing patients’ medical histories
·Diagnosing patients by observing their movementsand listening to their concerns
·Developing individualized treatment plans forpatients
·Outlining clear goals for patients and theexpected outcomes of the plan
·Using exercises, stretching, equipment, andhands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and preventfurther pain and injury
·Recording patients’ progress and modifying theplan of care if needed
·Educating patients and family members about therecovery process
·Consulting with patients to learn about theirphysical condition and symptoms
·Assisting patients with the use of equipmentsuch as wheelchairs or walkers
·Advising the patient and family about in-hometreatment options and exercises
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:
·Master of Science or Doctorate in PhysicalTherapy from an accredited program
·Successful completion of National CertificationExamination
·Valid PT license in state of practice
