Moran Associate Director of Human ResourcesSubject: Re-engagement Coach / Edison Evening AcademyThe following position is being advertised for the 2023-2024 school year: QualificationsExperience with Edison Academy curriculumExperience with re-engagement strategiesExperience in providing professional development about re-engagement strategies. Multilingual English, Spanish, Haitian, and Cape Verdean speakers preferred.ObjectivesTo identify and connect with students who have not returned to school or who are in danger of dropping out. To build relationships with those students by investing time on an ongoing basis and advocate for them.To identify and address the social, emotional, and health needs that may have caused students not to return to school. To help students map out their path to graduation and identify college and career goals.To teach students strategies to strengthen problem solving and decision-making skills.To partner with community organizations to provide services and resources that will ensure that students stay in school.To offer flexible learning options to meet the academic needs of students through asset-based learning, work-based learning, online credit recovery, and individual or small group tutoring.Hours: Fifteen hours weekly until the end of the grant period on June 30, 2024.Compensation: Hourly, according to the BEA contractFunding Source: MassGrad Promising Practices Grant Funding
