Job Description: The role of the Direct Support Professional is to be a caregiver for our individuals and assist them in their daily activities and to integrate/engage in their community. Location: Locations throughout the Greater Freeport, IL area. Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts are available. Job Duties: Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration.Accompanying individuals on outings and activities. Continually remain active, alert and able to respond to all scenarios. Utilize various verbal and physical behavioral interventions. Document behaviors, activities, and incidents. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including operations, clinical and medical staff to support therapeutic and behavioral plans for our individuals. Provide and ensure complete service delivery in a healthy and safe manner that supports Broadstep’s vision, mission, and values. Required Education/Experience/Skills: High school diploma or GED Must be 18 years of age. Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, physical, and TB test. Must have a valid driver’s license. Possess Patience, excellent communication.
