Broadening Horizons, Inc. is Hiring a Day Training Director Near Somerset, KY

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Day Training Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in Day Training Direction and Supervision. The Day Training Director assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of all activities and functions of the day training program and reports directly to the program director. The Day Training Director maintains program and fiscal operations in accordance with regulations, philosophies, and company policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience:

Ÿ Persons with a high school diploma or GED must have at least three (3) years’ experience working in a DT program serving Individuals with IDD. Experience in management is preferred.

Ÿ Persons with a bachelors degree or higher must have at least 1 year experience working with individuals in the SCL field. A history of working in a DT program is preferred.

Ÿ Is able to adequately communicate with staff, individuals, Guardians, Case Managers and their family members, and/or individual's representatives.

Is able to complete required documentation and maintain records as needed and in a timely manner

Duties:

Ÿ Assists Program Director in development of policies and procedures that relate to the day training program.

Ÿ Ensures DT program compliance with regulations, certifications, and safety procedures.

Ÿ Ensures all program management documentation (i.e., timesheets, attendance, progress notes, etc.) is completed accurately and within expected timeframe.

Ÿ Assists the individual’s team in developing meaningful daily routines for the individual.

Ÿ Is a good role model for staff by promoting the policies and procedures of the agency

Ÿ Ensures agency property is properly maintained.

Ÿ Develops work schedules to ensure proper utilization of staff and time in compliance with approved agency policy and procedures.

Ÿ Assists in hiring, training, and supervising staff to minimize turnover and develop professional skills within all staff.

Ÿ Monitors job performance of DT staff and reports deficiencies to the program director as required.

Ÿ Assists program director in completing performance evaluations on a regular basis in accordance with the agency’s procedures in a timely manner.

Ÿ Assists program director to develop and implement consistent work schedules for all staff and to ensure that schedules are within budget and designed to meet the needs of individuals.

Ÿ Provides necessary staff training and supervision to ensure individual needs are met.

Ÿ Monitors compliance of established objectives and goals of individuals and documents progress or lack of progress monthly.

Ÿ Will be on call when scheduled to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of individuals.

Ÿ Agrees to follow Broadening Horizons, Inc. mission statement and values to promote self-worth, dignity, and respect of individuals.

- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team
- Proven track record in team management and development
