WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Lead Manager Customer Insights

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of Marketing - SP&I (Combustibles)

The role provides analytical support to select clients in Trade Marketing. The position adds significant value by applying a comprehensive understanding of the tobacco industry, key business drivers and brands to influence and drive achievement of corporate objectives. Responsible for providing strategic business analysis and insight development for store chains and sales areas, finding opportunities in product categories and within brands to help drive share and profit growth. Participates in departmental and cross-functional teams and is sought out by others for mentorship and inspiration.

Reports to: Director – Customer Insights

Reporting Level: No Direct Reports

Geographic Scope: Regional

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Plans, directs, conducts analyses and provides business-oriented performance insights.
  • Develops analyses and presents recommendations to drive timely, fit for purpose and actionable business improving opportunities.
  • Develops and provides business review for management regarding business strategy and brand performance.
  • Drives a culture of collaboration, innovation and positive influence on decision making process.
  • Effectively communicates business results to clients across the organization to facilitate decision making process.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • 3 years in business/commercial analytics and/or related field. Retail experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office tools: Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • 2 years of recent experience with BI Tools, preferably MicroStrategy.
  • Ability to understand broader business issues and seek resolution.
  • Ability to lead and deliver to client needs.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with ability to work with a broad range of subject areas and cross-functionally.
  • Ability to lead, leverage and analyse data from various sources, interpret meaningful trends and draw conclusions to deliver actionable business recommendations.
  • Ability to identify business opportunities within Sales and Marketing performance data to influence execution.
  • Bachelor of Science required, Master’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

BENEFICIAL

  • Understating of business performance data such as consumer offtake (Marlin), Shipments to Retail (STR), Shipment to Wholesale (STW), and Retail Scan Data (RSD) as well as Consumer related data.
  • Experience with fast moving consumer goods.
