Overview

A lovely family in Greenwich, CT is looking for a full-time, live-out, nanny to start as soon as possible. The family has 2 boys, ages 6-years-old, and 3-years-old. The general schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5/6pm. The family has frequent evening and weekend events, and does ask for some flexibility, but will communicate the schedule in advance and guarantee 45 hours per week. Evening and weekend care is offered to the nanny first if they would like the extra hours. This position will also include some travel, so a candidate open to that is a must.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, overall care for the boys, helping get them fed and off to school when needed, school pick-ups, taking to after-school activities, planning and accompanying to play-dates, planning and taking them on outings and keeping them active and engaged, staying organized and on top of the boys’ schedules and communicating with mom, helping with homework when needed, dinner, bath, and help with bedtime. The family does have a full-time housekeeper, but the candidate would be responsible for child-related light housekeeping tasks such as completing any organizing projects needed, kids’ laundry, preparing snacks and meals for the boys, and keeping child areas tidy and picked up. Someone who is up for cooking for the family is a plus, but not required.

The ideal candidate is loving, warm, friendly, energetic, flexible, is proactive and can take the initiative, but can also work as part of a team, can maintain an open communication with the family and overall be a positive and encouraging part of the children’s lives in a long-term capacity. Someone who speaks Spanish is a plus.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record; a nanny car will be provided if needed. Candidates must be CPR and First Aid Certified (or willing to certify before employment begins) be able to swim, and be travel ready with a current and valid Passport. The hourly rate is $30-$35, based on experience, and benefits of 2 weeks’ vacation, sick days, holidays, a health care stipend, and the option of applying for a 401K are offered.
