Overview

A superlative property manager is sought to provide management and oversight to the full-time, part-time, and temporary domestic staff of a high-profile family and their New York City and Long Island residences. Candidates will report directly to the chief of staff and the schedule will be Monday through Friday, though candidates should be available as needed.

Responsibilities will include household operations maintenance and budgeting, consisting of; creating and maintaining annual maintenance schedules with appropriate domestic staff (windows, HVAC, kitchen equipment, pool, etc.), liaising with the principal and the principal’s chief of staff on a daily basis regarding updates and open items, supervising and/or assisting vendors with assigned work, and relationship management with key vendors associated with the above-mentioned day-to-day facilities and scheduled maintenance services. It will also include property inventory and maintenance of household and household contents, consisting of maintaining accurate inventory and restocking as needed. Finally, the role will include the management of household staff (consisting of vendors, grounds-keepers, housekeepers, and chefs) and the ability to source and provide training within all disciplines of domestic staff/ensure proper staffing levels. Candidates should ensure all staff is properly trained on property emergency and safety procedures. 

Prerequisites for this role are having people management experience, experience managing private estates or 5-star resorts with a staff of 25 or more, experience cooking (in case the chef is absent for whatever reason), hyper attention to detail, and efficient communication skills, strong capabilities with technology hardware and various software packages, and strong written and oral communication skills. 

It’s essential that candidates have a clean driving record and a current driving license. A salary in the range of $180,000-$200,000 is being offered to the successful candidate, including benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k).
