The Senior Manager position will provide pivotal financial and strategic support to the U.S. Cell Therapy business unit by managing operating expenses, resource allocation, financial performance, and budgeting. This position interacts closely with various matrix teams including U.S. CarT Brand teams (Marketing), Medical, CTAM team, US FP&A, and CTDO Finance. Additionally, this position will actively contribute to projection cycles throughout the year, providing essential support to ensure accurate forecasting and budget adherence.

The Senior Manager role offers a challenging opportunity to contribute significantly to the Cell Therapy Commercial Finance organization by closely collaborating with business partners and providing insights/recommendations to achievement of strategic objectives.

Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Partner closely with the Abecma and Breyanzi Brand and matrix teams to optimize brand investment strategy (OPEX).

  • Support Opex financial monthly and quarterly close process including variance analysis, management reporting, resource allocation initiatives, KDA analysis, and presentation of key insights to cross functional business partners and key stakeholders.

  • Establish high level of credibility and manage strong financial partnerships across matrix teams with financial guidance, financial reviews, risk assessments, and strategic investment insights.

  • Drive financial discipline and resource flexing as new indications and products are launched.

  • Support Associate Director on external alliance relationship with 2seventybio.

  • Support Associate Director in monitor top-line business performance, and ad hoc requests/projects.

  • Proactively identify, recommend, and lead improvements & innovation in financial analysis, reporting and processes.

  • Ensure relevant accounting procedures and controls are in place and all requirements for US GAAP are fulfilled.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum education of a Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, CPA and/or MBA in finance preferred.

  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in relevant finance roles.

  • Advanced analytical skills including financial modeling in Excel, budgeting, and financial reporting.

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and financial system (SAP, Hyperion, RPM) skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial information to a variety of audiences.

  • Strong business partnering skills and experience working in a complex matrix organization.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment often with multiple deliverables, and quick turnarounds.
