** This is a 16 hour position located at Ingraham Manor*

Provides direct therapeutic recreation services to facility residents assuring that individual leisure, creative, spiritual, and psycho-social needs are met through both group and one-to-one service delivery. Functions as a cooperative member of the interdisciplinary team, sharing resident progress in verbal and written formats.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs duties involving the implementation of activity programs, which meets physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests of residents. The employee is required to be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Except as specifically noted, the following functions are considered essential to this position.
• Responsible for the planning of activities to meet resident’s specific needs, to include large group, small group, and individual participation as scheduled.
• The ability to create interest in the activities and motivate residents to participate daily is required
• Creativity and motivational skills necessary
• Maintain documentation as required by State and Federal regulations and attendance book.
• Assures personal and staff compliance to Resident’s Rights.
• Responsible for initial assessments.

Education: A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Must be able to lift a minimum of fifteen (15) lbs., and be able to carry objects.

• Must be able to push and pull carts, and continuously walk, sit and stand.
• Must be able to turn, crouch, kneel, stoop, bend below waist, and reach above shoulder height as tasks dictate
