EDUCATION/MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

STATE/FEDERAL MANDATED LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Current State of Connecticut license as a Licensed Practical Nurse. CPR certificate

INGRAHAM MANOR MANDATED EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Other programs as mandated by Ingraham Manor.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must demonstrate patience and kindness toward residents and families. Must possess good observation and communication skills. Indicates a nonessential function, for which an otherwise qualified candidate could seek reasonable accommodation and thereby successfully discharge the duties of this position. BLS Required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must have the ability to perform all aspects of nursing care. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Must be able to endure a prolonged period of extensive walking, standing, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Moderate periods of sitting, twisting, reaching, occasional crouching, crawling, kneeling, and balancing. Vision, hearing, smell and tactile sensation corrected or accommodated to normal.

WORK ENVIORNMENT:

Regular contact with residents, body substances, and hazardous chemicals, 75 degree temperature, varied lighting, regular contact with soap and water, moderate noise level, use of various types of lifting devices.

COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions.
