Job requirements

  • Responsibilities:
  • Facilitating Scrum Events: Leading and facilitating Scrum events such as Daily Stand-up meetings, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Removing Impediments: Identifying and removing impediments that hinder the team's progress towards their goals. Coaching and Mentoring: Coaching the team on Agile principles and practices, helping them understand and implement Scrum frameworks effectively.
  • Protecting the Team: Shielding the team from external interference and distractions to maintain focus on sprint goals.
  • Promoting Collaboration: Fostering collaboration and communication within the team and across stakeholders.
  • Servant Leadership: Serving as a servant leader, supporting the team members' needs and empowering them to be self-organizing.
  • Ensuring Transparency: Ensuring transparency by maintaining and updating Scrum artifacts such as the Product Backlog, Sprint Backlog, and Burndown charts.
  • Facilitating Continuous Improvement: Encouraging a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospective meetings and helping the team to implement actionable improvements. Stakeholder Management: Facilitating communication and collaboration with stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations.
  • Scrum Adoption: Supporting the organization in adopting and scaling Scrum principles and practices.
  • Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum: Deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, particularly Scrum.
  • Facilitation Skills: Strong facilitation skills to conduct effective Scrum events and meetings. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information and foster collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership abilities with a focus on servant leadership, empowerment, and facilitation.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify impediments and solve problems efficiently to keep the team's progress on track.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing requirements and environments in a dynamic and fast-paced Agile development environment.
  • Conflict Resolution: Skill in resolving conflicts within the team and with stakeholders in a constructive manner.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset: Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, both personally and for the team.
  • Certification: While not always mandatory, certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) can be beneficial and are often preferred by employers.
