Marketing Intern:

Part time: Non-Exempt

General Summary: This role will promote the company’s mission and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other promotional products.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Collaborates with sales or marketing representatives to fully understand business and communication needs.
2. Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique.
3. Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
4. Presents design ideas and recommendations to marketing committee and leadership team.
5. Creates and coordinates multimedia packages.
6. Composes draft emails and speeches for senior management and assists with finalizing.
7. Assist with drafting and sending Company communication.
8. Schedules and develops filming scripts and production.
9. Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
10. Attends conferences, events and staffs the company booth as needed.
11. Other related duties as assigned.

Education Requirement: In process as Intern: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.

Experience Requirement: Internship, Graphics Design, proposals, Branding, Social Media experience, Company communications.

Other Requirement(s): This position requires U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card holder and the ability to obtain and maintain a government public trust level security clearance. For a candidate that is a Green Card holder, they must have lived in the United States for at least three out of the past five years prior to your application date. You will also meet the residency qualifications if you lived abroad while on government or military duty or if you were a dependent of a federal employee of military member.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Work Environment: Work performed in an office environment. Involves frequent contact with staff and customers.

Mental/Physical Requirements: Manual dexterity for office machine operation; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Must be able to remain in stationary position for extended periods of time. Stress can be triggered by multiple demands and deadlines. Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
