What you will be doing:
- Work across the entire product lifecycle: from opportunity assessment, discovery, design solutioning, hypothesis validation, build and learn
- Advocate for the user and evangelize user experience throughout the organization
- Participate as a member of a cross-functional product team, working closely with Product Managers and Engineers in an Agile environment to define product strategy and data-informed solutions. Leverage patterns and solutions of existing Design System and contribute to its refinement and iterations when needed
- Foster a positive culture within the product team, demonstrating endurance, grit, and persistence to overcome challenges
- Provide and seek feedback from other designers to always push the bar for quality
- Commitment to financial wellness for everyday Americans
- 5 years of product design experience in a technology company including B2C mobile experience
- An innate ability to create user-centric designs by considering data, user feedback and research, product requirements, and technical constraints/opportunities.
- Strong aptitude for performing and synthesizing research, including contextual inquiry, generative and evaluative research
- Great understanding of Lean product development methodologies and how design decisions impact overall product goals
- Capable of collaborating in a team environment, actively exploring and promoting new ideas, including those proposed by others
- Ability to thrive with ambiguity and tight deadlines and work independently
- History of collaborating with product, engineering, customer service, and marketing teams to shape the product design
- Exceptional communication skills with a demonstrated ability to present designs and explain design decisions effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent visual design skills with deep understanding of aesthetic usability and pixel-perfect practice. Experience of writing compelling UX copy is a plus
- A top-notch design portfolio, demonstrating outstanding visual, process, outcomes, and your direct contribution
- Expertise with Figma
