Brightspire is Hiring a Fitness Coordinator (Glenaire) Near Cary, NC
- Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility to both residents and staff
- Develops and delivers high-quality, innovative programs to meet the needs of residents and staff.
- Focuses on resident and staff engagement by refreshing, changing, or evaluating the sustainability of programs as necessary.
- Collaborates with other departments to strengthen the impact and engagement through cross promotion and coordinated programming
- Manage and schedule both Wellness employees and contracted instructors.
- Leads high quality quarterly staff meetings for group exercise instructor
- Provides direct leadership through regularly teaching classes and filling in when needed
- Has a strong presence being visible and available to serve residents and staff that may infrequently including early mornings, evenings and weekends
- Initiate and train any residents and staff who wish to use the Wellness Center
- Performs annual Functional Fitness tests for residents who choose to participate
- Helps develop training goals for residents or staff when applicable
- Has a positive, enthusiastic, energetic team that engages with residents and staff.
- 1-2 years of Fitness Coordinator or equivalent experience and 1year as a group exercise instructor preferred
- Must possess or be willing to obtain certifications for Group Fitness Classes, Aqua Group Fitness Classes, CPR and First Aid
- Must have a high level of initiative, be a self-starter
- Ability to develop and maintain a professional relationship with residents and staff
- Ability to lead, motivate and retain quality contracted fitness instructors
- Demonstrates experience in community relations, customer service and leadership of a large groups of people
- Must be able to work as a supportive team member within the Wellness department
- Must possess strong communication, computer literacy and critical thinking skills
- Collaborate with the Wellness Director and Human Resources to develop and implement annual Wellness Credits for staff
- Oversees wellness equipment, including recommendations for placement, additions, repairs and maintenance in/on all of the studios and flooring to ensure that it is safe and efficient; as well as all areas are kept clean and tidy
- Other duties as determined by the supervisor
