The Clinical Mentor (Director of Nursing - DON) oversees the nursing team and overall nursing operations of the healthcare households. Duties include facilitating deep engagement with person-centered care practices, promoting an environment of trust and development for team members, evaluating and directing all nursing employees, establishing goals and creating healthcare policies for the nursing department, assuring compliance, assisting in developing and managing the departmental budget, and understanding and implementing regulatory guidance. The Clinical Mentor (Director of Nursing - DON) promotes the residents' psychosocial well-being by ensuring meaningful relationship building and the residents' physical well-being through exceptional care and practices.
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of NC
- Minimum 2 years of nursing supervisory experience required
- Experience as a DON and with long-term care preferred
- Person-centered care/household model experience is a plus
- Desire to serve senior adults and team members
- Excellent multitasking and organization skills
- Ability to effectively lead and manage others
- Interpersonal skills
- Clear and accurate verbal and written communication
- Up-to-date knowledge of nursing practices
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage a large budget
