Job DescriptionWe have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead, Software Engineering to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will be accountable for steering the Architecture & Design, integration, and delivery management of our Address Management System. This position demands a passion for learning, problem-solving, and the capability to lead a team in implementing architectures and solutions. You will also apply agile/scrum principles to automate and expedite the adoption of technologies, services, and upgrades.As an IT Technical Lead, Software Engineering, your duties and responsibilities will include:Analyze customer needs and business goals to design effective technical solutionsManage technical delivery and integration throughout the project lifecyclePerform system analysis, requirements analysis, and functional analysis to gather and translate business requirements into detailed technical specificationsDevelop and document problem-solving approaches to address complex technical challengesEnsure code quality by establishing and maintaining coding standards and guidelinesProvide ongoing support for day-to-day business operations.Collaborate with business partners and peers to identify and implement user experience improvementsCoordinate and drive project delivery across IT and business teams in a multi-vendor environment using Agile/Scrum SDLC methodologiesParticipate in all phases of the SDLC, including troubleshooting, debugging, verification and testing, production monitoring, and performance analysisAdopt Agile, DevOps, and other enablers to enhance project delivery efficiency.Conduct regular project reviews to assess progress, identify risks, and address issues with executivesContribute industry knowledge, experience, and best practices to keep the technology stack cutting-edge and maintain a competitive advantageQualificationsWHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 5 years of hands-on industry experience in the following areas:Agile/Scrum methodologyAPIs developmentBuilding complex data relationships in high-performance, scalable database environmentsExperience with Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes, App Engine, Apigee, ReactExperience in one of the cloud technologies – GCP, Azure, AWSExperience in working requirements and design with at least one of the Analytics platforms – BigQuery/Looker, Tableau, Power BIAbility to work in a collaborative team environment and actively participate in discussions on best practices, user experience, functional requirements, and team dynamics.Proven experience leading software development lifecycles from concept to design, prototyping, integration, testing, and production release.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to prioritize key business programs through collaboration with business partners.BONUS POINTS FOR:Background in telecommunication and/or network designKnowledge of Google Maps API, Bing Maps API, SMARTY web servicesExperience driving the development of features on a complex business-critical project related to large-scale address data acquisition and validation #LI-SS1Additional InformationWHY JOIN US?We aspire to contemporary ways of working.At Brightspeed, we have roles that are designated as remote, hybrid, office or field-based, depending on the position, business needs and individual circumstances.
