The Lead Teacher plans, prepares, and implements developmentally appropriate child-initiated and teacher-directed activities using Early Head Start and Creative Curriculum® to enhance the physical, emotional, and cognitive growth of children through play and hands-on experiences. The Lead Teacher provides a learning evironment that is safe and inclusive for all students, conducts developmental screenings, weekly child observations and regularly assessments, actively supervises the safety and wellbeing of children in both classroom and outdoor settings, maintains student portfolios, and conducts parent teacher conferences. The Lead Teacher also directly supervises Teacher Assistants in the classroom.
