Brighton Center is Hiring a Family Resource Specialist Near Newport, KY

Brighton Center, Inc. is a private non-profit community-based organization with the mission to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education, employment, and leadership.
Purpose:
Every child deserves access to high-quality educational experiences that ensure they are on track for success in school and their future; however, many families struggle to afford high-quality ECE care or have barriers preventing their access to care. The Child & Family Resource Specialists will deliver coordinated 2-Generation, holistic support to help families build a solid foundation for the future. This position will support infrastructure and capacity building to young children (ages 0-4) and their families, which will in turn maximizer the identification, referral, enrollment, and attendance of infants and young children, with or at risk of child welfare involvement, into high-quality Early Childhood Education services.

  • Establish attainable goals and assist families with an action plan for reaching goals
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in files and electronic databases
Requirements:
  • Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to diversity, racial equity, and inclusion
  • Driver’s License, personal transportation, and valid insurance
  • Ability to travel throughout the Northern Kentucky Region
  • One to two years experience in the human services and/or Early Childhood Education fields, directly working with families
  • Experience assisting individuals with strength-based assessments and person-centered planning
  • Post Secondary training in Early Childhood Education or Human Services, preferred
