What You'll Be Working On:

As a Classroom Support Specialist, you'll be an essential part of our dynamic workforce, ready to respond to job opportunities from nearby K-12 schools via the BrightBee app. You’ll be able to pick which work opportunities match your experience, preferences, and schedules and will never have to take on an assignment that you don’t feel is a fit for you.

All of our services are provided on-site at schools in the Dallas area. You will be expected to travel to schools where you accept assignments, often scheduled in advance and sometimes on short notice.

Some of your key responsibilities could include:

• Assisting classroom teachers with instruction
• Supporting special needs students as they go about their day
• Providing small group instruction, both pull-out and push-in
• Helping administer student assessments

How You'll Be Compensated:

This is an on-demand contracting role, with a standard day rate paid for each assignment accepted via the BrightBee mobile app and fulfilled on-site with the school.

You will receive a full day rate of $10 - $12 per work day.There will be some variability of hours for different assignments, but no assignment will be for more than 8 hours per work day. You will also be eligible for periodic bonus payments based on your activities on the app and at schools.

What You Bring to the Table:

• Education: Associates degree and High School Diploma are the minimum requirement. Additional coursework, certifications, or degrees in education, child development, or related fields will be advantageous.
• Experience: Some prior experience working with K-12 students in educational settings is desirable. Your passion for education and willingness to learn and grow in the role are essential.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with teachers, students, and school staff.
• Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to varying classroom environments, student needs, and instructional approaches.
• Reliability: Dependability and punctuality are vital for fulfilling on-demand job opportunities efficiently.
• Clearance Requirements: Prior to working with students, you will need to pass a background check and obtain necessary clearances. Rest assured, we will guide you through the process!
• Passion for Education: A genuine enthusiasm for supporting student learning and promoting academic success.

• Complete this online application
• Complete a LiveScan fingerprinting and other legally-required clearances
• Attend a 2 hour in-person orientation in downtown San Jose
• Start accepting assignments when you're ready! :)
