Bright Light Academy, LLC is Hiring an Early Learning School Assistant/Float (FT) Near Pittsburgh, PA
Bright Light Academy is seeking another team member to float between our classrooms. This position is for someone who has worked in childcare previously, has an educational background in education, OR is an experienced educator looking to work in a new environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about working with young children and have a passion for learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the lead and assistant teachers to assist and implement daily lesson plans and activities
- Help create a safe and stimulating classroom environment for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or pre-k students
- Monitor and engage with children during playtime, meals, and other daily routines
- Provide individual and group support to children as needed
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development and progress
Qualifications:
- Able to pass state, federal, and child abuse background checks
- At least six months of experience in childcare
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the United States
- Has a completed high school diploma or GED
- A love for children and a desire to work with infants and toddlers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- Must be patient, nurturing, and able to create a positive learning environment
- Flexibility in scheduling is a plus
This position is a great opportunity for those interested in gaining experience in the field of early childhood education. Some formal experience is required, but this position will always be assisted by a collaborating teacher. While we are NOT looking to fill this role in a part-time capacity, we can be very flexible and schedule to accommodate individual needs. For those with very little experience, pay starts at $12. For an experienced educator with a related degree, pay is up to $17. Bright Light Academy is open five days a week.
