Our goal is to provide exceptional service and individualized care to individuals with intellectual disabilities, while enriching their overall quality of daily life. The Direct Support Professional assists individuals with developmental disabilities in their home. Assistance includes but is not limited to: daily living, hygiene skills, and social activities. The focus is on maintaining a clean, safe, living environment and supporting individuals in their goals toward independence. The role of our House Manager will be to manage the home and staff to ensure that our clients with developmental disabilities are well served and taken care of. The house has 24-hour staff. Our staff including the House Manager assist these individuals with activities of daily living. Some Individuals require more assistance than others (will include personal hygiene care in some instances).

Responsibilities:

  • On-call position
  • Effectively train and communicate with team members company policies and procedures.
  • Manage inventory of food, supplies and medication.
  • Proficient at scheduling and managing resident appointments and transportation needs.
  • The House Manager acts as an advocate for the clients monitors resident care needs, alerts the Administrator when the resident has a change in condition, report resident and family concerns to the Administrator, and community service providers.
  • Ensure community compliance tasks are completed according to schedules.
  • Assists residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as showering, using the bathroom, getting into and out of bed, getting into and out of chairs, etc. in accordance with resident’s care plan and company policies and procedure.
  • Responsible for assistance with medications, according to NM State guidelines.
  • Leads and conducts resident activities by following activities calendar and individualized goal plan for each client.
  • Performs housekeeping duties throughout the home during shift. Ensure the home is clean and tidy at all times. This includes but is not limited to resident room cleans, daily and as needed bed making and laundry, trash removal (interior and exterior), cleaning the common areas and bathrooms and the kitchen.
  • Adheres to safe food practices while preparing scheduled meals. while following the weekly menu when preparing all meals.
  • There are opportunities for bonus shift stipends!
  • CCSI (Customized Individual Support) 8 hours required to be completed on a weekly basis. Compensation is built into salary wage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,500.00 per year
