Bright Futures Psychiatry is Hiring an Outpatient RN Near Colorado, CO

We are seeking self-motived high achievers to join our team. Bright Futures Psychiatry is 100% PMHNP owned (Female, Air Force Veteran). We are nestled in a gorgeous building by the Broadmoor Hotel area of Southern Colorado Springs.

Our company culture is one of warmth and inclusivity to both staff and clients.SummaryBright Futures Psychiatry is seeking a dedicated and compassionate registered nurse to join our team. The RN will be responsible for providing comprehensive care and support to clients with various mental health conditions. They will work closely with the clinical team, assisting in the delivery of client-centered care and promoting overall well-being. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a deep commitment to client care.
Starting Pay Rate: $30.29 - $35.21/hr. (DOE)
Duties And Responsibilities
  • Client Assessment and Care Planning:
    • Conduct new patient initial assessments to evaluate the clients' mental health needs
    • Based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), determine if a client needs to establish care in person or via telemedicine
  • Medication Management:
    • Competent in peripheral venous access and intramuscular injections based on provider orders and SOPs
    • Monitor and document clients' responses to medications, identifying any adverse reactions or side effects and communicates client status with provider
    • Educate clients and their families about medication regimens, potential effects, and the importance of adherence
    • Oversee sample medications per office SOP
  • Crisis Intervention and De-escalation:
    • Respond promptly to crisis situations and use de-escalation techniques to manage potentially volatile situations
    • Work closely with the clinical team to create crisis intervention plans for high-risk clients
    • Participate in training sessions to enhance crisis management skills and ensure a safe clinical environment
  • Client Education and Support:
    • Provide education to clients and their families regarding mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies
    • Encourage clients to actively engage in their treatment and empower them to take an active role in their journey
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Maintain open lines of communication with the interdisciplinary team, including providers, therapists, and other treatment team members
    • Participate in team meetings to discuss client’s progress, treatment plans, and care coordination
    • Engage in regular communication with clients' families to provide updates and address concerns as appropriate
  • Documentation and Record Keeping:
    • Maintain accurate and thorough client records, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
    • Comply with clinic policies and legal regulations regarding record keeping and confidentiality of client’s information
    • Complete chart audits to ensure appropriate documentation of clinical back office team
  • Quality Improvement and Compliance:
    • Lead quality improvement initiatives within the clinic, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices
    • Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and clinic policies to ensure compliance and client’s safety
Qualifications
  • Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado
  • Strong understanding of psychiatric nursing principles and evidence-based practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience in crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and competent in maintaining accurate and detailed clients’ records
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and continuous learning in the field of mental health nursing
