We are looking for qualified Three year old Teachers to prepare small children for Preschool by easing them into organized education, and to provide exceptional care to our Preschool Program. You will teach them important elements that they will encounter soon after they enter the preschool program.

A Three year old Teacher must have a great love and patience for children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention.

The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of education.

Responsibilities

• You will work closely with our Director of Curriculum to implement a creative program suitable for the children in our 3 year old
• Proper hygiene skills and techniques modeled by the teacher to teach the children
• Conduct Circle Time with the children and engage with each student
• Observe each child to help them improve their social and emotional skills and build self-esteem
• Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
• Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs., and be on your feet for hours, and must be able to walk, run, or jog
• Track children’s progress and communicate with parents daily
• Prepare, develop, and implement Curriculum daily with the children in the classroom (art, fine motor, gross motor, book of the day, math, science, etc.)
• Maintain a clean, organize, and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
• You will be responsible for the health and safety of a maximum of 15 children (Preschool) and 15-30 children with 2-3 teachers
• Employee must utilize KidKare & ProCare daily

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Three year old or Preschool Teacher
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a three year old or preschool teacher
• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills
• Ability to act as mediator between children
• Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
• Must have knowledge of Arizona Department of Health Services licensing regulations pertaining to childcare

Mandatory Credentials

• Current State of Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card (https://psp.azdps.gov/)
• Current Maricopa County Food Handlers Card
• A negative TB test dated within the last year
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification
• High School Diploma or Transcripts
• One or more years of experience working as a lead or assistant teacher in a childcare setting

Pay: $14.35 - $20.00 per hour
