Job Summary

The Director of Player Development reports to the Head Coach. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the men's basketball on-court player development plans as outlined by the Head Coach and the Director of Strength & Conditioning and Sport Science. The Director of Player Development also oversees the off-court success of the men's basketball student-athletes.

Duties/Expectations:

  • Oversee the on-court skills as part of the player development plans outlined by the Head Coach and Director of Strength & Conditioning and Sport Science
  • Oversee the off-court life skills player development
  • Serve as program liaison with local businesses and influential business leaders
  • Help oversee NCAA and university compliance for the student-athletes
  • Work closely with the Head Coach on special projects as requested
  • Mentor men's basketball student-athletes

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (Must have required degree by start date)
  • 2 year collegiate or professional athletic playing/work experience or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the hiring process

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
  • 5 years of Division 1 or professional athletic playing or work experience
