Practice Assistant II - Outpatient Infusion

GENERAL SUMMARY/ OVERVIEW STATEMENT:
The Practice Assistant II for Infusion Services, in collaboration with the Practice Manager and Practice Coordinator, will ensure efficient daily operation of the Ambulatory Infusion Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital’s Main Campus in Boston, 850 Boylston in Chestnut Hill, and other locations as determined. Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Practice Assistant II maintains patient scheduling, referrals, and specialty pharmacy medication coordination. This role works alongside administrative staff such as front desk and scheduling staff.
The Practice Assistant II is an integral part of assisting with the implementation of BWH Ambulatory initiatives and strategic growth plans. The individual will take direction from the Administrative Director and Practice Manager while working closely with referring physicians, peers, and staff to create a positive culture and work environment while achieving service excellence for our patients.

The responsibilities of this position are broad, generally including operational duties, patient throughout and scheduling.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in a Hospital based Ambulatory Practice. Normal patient environments where there are some exposures to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, needle, and blood products.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
No direct supervisory responsibilities.
FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY:
No direct financial or fiscal responsibilities.
