The Cardiac Imaging Core Lab (CICL) is located within the Brigham and Women's Hospital, a Harvard-affiliated hospital that is situated directly adjacent to Harvard Medical School. The CICL provides cardiac imaging core laboratory services for large-scale national and international clinical trials. The CICL is an academic-oriented research organization that works with academic, government, and industry partners and collaborators nationally and internationally. Working under the supervision of Harvard Faculty Directors, the Echo Tech II will be an integral member of the CICL and will assist with high-level, complex research including but not limited to echocardiographic analysis and data quality assurance. A motivated individual in this position may contribute to scientific publications and presentations at scientific meetings and will help investigate novel methods and technologies in the CICL's area of research.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
BS and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) required . MS degree or equivalent with education and experience in scientific field of research preferred
Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in Echocardiographic lab in a hospital or outpatient set up.
Experience in cardiac strain analysis preferred.
An understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, cardiac pathophysiology hemodynamics and echocardiography assessment of heart disease is required.
